Anna Pal, CSUN
Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week
Junior • Defender • Budapest, Hungary |
• Anna Pal led CSUN to an upset road win to earn The Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week award. It is the first weekly honor of Pal's career. It is the second time this season a Matador has won the accolade after Dorottya Telek was honored earlier in the year (Feb. 14).
• The junior recorded four goals, an assist and a steal in a 7-6 upset victory at then-No. 14 UC Davis. It was CSUN's first win over the Aggies since 2016 and the program's first road win at Davis since 2014.
• CSUN is 18-14 overall with a 2-5 conference record. The Matadors are ranked No. 19 in the latest CWPA national rankings. Pal has compiled 64 goals, 59 assists and 31 steals so far this season.
Also Nominated: Bia Mantellato Dias (Hawai’i), Airian Grisham (UC Irvine), Kathryn McCullough (Long Beach State).
