UC San Diego's Lexi Stahl Earns Player of the Week Honor

  • 25384UC San Diego junior goalkeeper Lexi Stahl recorded 47 saves in four wins, recording double-digit stops in every contest, to earn The Big West Player of the Week award. It the first career weekly honor for Stahl. 

  • The Triton goaltender compiled 11 saves in a 6-5 win over No. 7 UC Irvine on Friday. It was UC San Diego's first win against the Anteaters since 2006. 

  • On Saturday, Stahl totaled 11 stops in a 13-7 victory over Concordia at the Aztec Invitational. 

  • The Fresno, Calif. product tallied 10 saves in UC San Diego's 11-6 toppling of La Salle on Sunday.  

  • In the second game on Sunday, Stahl made 15 saves in a 13-8 triumph over No. 8 Princeton. 
  • UC San Diego is currently on a seven-game win streak for a 14-8 overall record and a 2-0 conference mark. Stahl has amassed 105 saves for a 7.66 goals-against average and .559 save percentage this year.
