Hawai'i Frosh Daisy Logtens Wins Program's Fourth Weekly Honor This Season

  • 8036Hawai'i freshman goalkeeper Daisy Logtens recorded 37 saves to lead the Rainbow Wahine to a 3-1 mark and a second-place finish at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational to earn The Big West Player of the Week award. It the fourth time this season that a Rainbow Wahine has been bestowed the honor after Bia Mantellato Dias (Jan. 24), Bernadette Doyle (Jan. 31) and Lucia Gomez de la Puente (Feb. 7).

  • The freshman opened the tournament by posting five saves with an .833 save percentage and surrendered just one goal while playing a half against Pomona-Pitzer. 

  • The Uden, Netherlands product had a seven saves and three steals in a 17-8 triumph over Big West foe and 12th-ranked Long Beach State. 
  • Logtens tallied a season-high 15 stops in a 10-7 win over No. 6 Cal in the tournament semifinals. 

  • The Rainbow Wahine goalie closed the weekend with 10 saves and a steal against No. 1 UCLA.  

  • Hawai'i currently has an 11-2 record this season, has knocked off two No. 1-ranked opponents, and rated second in the latest CWPA national rankings. Logtens has amassed 106 saves with a 8.67 goals-against average and .596 save percentage so far this year.
