Shyanne Rainey Wins Cal State Fullerton's First-Ever Player of the Week Award

  • 8011Cal State Fullerton senior center Shyanne Rainey amassed 12 goals in three games to earn The Big West Player of the Week award. It is the first time a Player of the Week honor has been bestowed upon a Titan, currently in its second year as a program. 

  • The Porterville, Calif. native led Cal State Fullerton to its first-ever win over a ranked opponent, a 12-10 triumph over No. 24 Biola, with six goals, one drawn exclusion and one steal. 

  • The Titan center recorded four goals and one drawn exclusion in an 8-6 victory over University of Toronto. 
  • The senior compiled two goals, one drawn exclusion and one steal against No. 7 Arizona State. 

  • Cal State Fullerton is currently r-4  in its 2024 campaign. Rainey has 19 goals and 11 drawn exclusions this season.
