The top two teams at regionals automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships. Additionally, 13 at-large teams are selected by the NCAA DI Cross Country Subcommittee to bring the total number of qualifying teams to 31. As for the individuals, 36 will automatically qualify for nationals by being one of the top four regional finishers not on an advancing team. Then the committee will select two additional individuals for at-large bids. That brings the total number of individuals to 38 per gender. The 2022 DI NCAA Cross Country Championship selections will be announced on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. PT on NCAA.com.
