IRVINE, Calif. -  The Big West unveiled its 2023 men’s soccer conference schedule today, featuring a nine-game format culminating in the 2023 Big West Men's Soccer Championships Nov. 1-11.

Non-conference action begins around the league on Aug. 24. Conference play in The Big West begins on Wednesday, Sept. 27 with with all 10 teams in action, kicking off a nine-game, five-week slate. Each side will see two matches each week throughout the Wednesday-Saturday with the exception of the final week. Some of the premier matchups include: 

• Saturday, Oct. 7 (Week 2) - UC Riverside at UC Santa Barbara - the top two teams in the 2022 regular season and a rematch of the 2022 Big West championship final. The Highlanders defeated the Gauchos 4-1 in the final week to claim the regular season title, and 1-0 in the championship final to hoist the trophy and earn the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Championship. 
• Saturday, Oct. 11 (Week 2) - UC Irvine at Cal State Fullerton - the two Orange County foes will clash in the second week of Big West play. The Titans look to make a return to the postseason since 2019, while the Anteaters have made four straight apperances in The Big West Championship. UC Irvine has won the last two matchups dating back to 2021. 
• Saturday, Oct. 14 (Week 3) - UC Santa Barbara at Cal Poly - hearlded as "The Greatest Rivalry in College Soccer", the Blue-Green rivalry has produced five of the top 10, and 17 of the top 25, largest crowds in NCAA men's soccer history. The two teams matchup twice per season and will meet earlier in a non-conference game on Saturday, Sept. 23. The Mustangs' last win in the rivalry came in 2018, with the Gauchos holding a 5-1-2 record in the matchup during that time. 
• Saturday, Oct. 28 (Week 5) - Sacramento State at UC Davis - separated by less than 20 miles by the Yolo Causeway, the Hornets and Aggies are not only local rivals, but conference foes as well in men's soccer. The matchup will be held at the 10,000-seat UC Davis Health Stadium, normally reserved for football contests, on the final day of the regular season. UC Davis has won eight straight matchups. 

In 2022, UC Riverside captured won both the regular season and championship titles and earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. The Highlanders defeated No. 4 seed CSUN 4-1 and No. 2 seed UC Santa Barbara 1-0, both at home. 

The first round of the six-team Championship will be hosted at the higher seeded team as the No. 3 seed takes on the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed hosts the No. 5 seed on Wednesday, Nov. 1. Then, the advancing teams converge at the site of the regular-season champion and top seed to play the semifinal and championship matches. The semifinal round is set for Saturday, Nov. 4 with the battle for The Big West crown coming on Saturday, Nov. 11.
