Caroline Christl, UC San Diego Women's Water Polo Player of the Week  Redshirt Sophomore • Attacker  • San Clemente, Calif.

• UC San Diego attacker Caroline Christl put away five goals in a conference win over UC Davis to earn The Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week award. Christl is a first-time weekly honoree. 

• The redshirt sophomore scored half of No. 18 UC San Diego's goals in Friday's 10-9 road win at No. 10 UC Davis. Christl's goal at 1:17 of the third quarter put the Tritons ahead. 7-6, and they stayed in front the rest of the way.

• The San Clemente, Calif. product has 46 goals on the season and is currently riding a 12-game scoring streak with multiple goals in eight of those.

• UC San Diego is 10-16 overall and 2-3 in conference play. The Tritons are currently fifth in The Big West standings and ranked 18th in the latest CWPA national rankings.
