Elena Flynn, UC Irvine Women's Water Polo Player of the Week  Sophomore • Attacker • San Jose, Calif.

• UC Irvine attacker Elena Flynn compiled 10 goals in two games and tied a school record to win The Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week award. Flynn is a first-time Big West weekly honoree.

• The sophomore scored seven and tied the Anteater program record for goals in a game as the UC Irvine prevailed 16-9 at No. 8 Fresno State on Saturday. 

• The San Jose product recorded a hat trick with three goals, to go along with one field block, against No. 4 Cal in the season opener at Fresno. 

• UC Irvine is 1-1 to start the season. Flynn leads the Anteaters with 10 goals.
