UC Davis sophomore Lucas Carper earned Big West Golfer of the Month acclaim for March after capping off the month in impressive fashion, finishing as the runner-up at the prestigious Goodwin tournament hosted by Stanford.

The San Jose native fired a career-best 12-under 198, including a low of 65 in the second round. He rolled in 16 birdies in the 54-hole event, with just four bogies at Stanford Golf Course.

In the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic to start the month, Carper finished t-38th with an even-par 216.

The Aggies finished in the top 10 in the team standings in both events.

This is the first career Big West Golfer of the Month award for Carper, the 2021 Big West Championship individual medalist.
