UC Irvine's Tara Prentice Wins Consecutive Player of the Week Honor

• Tara Prentice recorded 10 goals, four assists, nine steals and 15 exclusions drawn to lead UC Irvine to a fifth place finish at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational and earn The Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week honor for the second straight week. It is the sixth time in her career she has taken home the weekly accolade as she previously won the award once each during the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons, and twice earlier this year. 

• The graduate student scored three goals and drew six exlcusions in a 13-9 win against No. 16 UC Santa Barbara in the opener.

• Prentice recorded three goals, one assist and two steals as the Anteaters defeated No. 13 Long Beach State 9-8. 

• In the fifth-place game against No. 6 Michigan the utility player accumulated two goals and one assist in a 10-9 victory.
