• UC Irvine freshman center Nioka Thomas recorded five goals, one assist and four drawn exclusions to lead the Anteaters a 2-0 weekend with wins over Azusa Pacific and Concordia to earn The Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week award.
• The Australian native put away two goals, had one assist and drew three exclusions in a 19-7 win against Azusa Pacific Saturday.
• In the second game of the day on Saturday, Thomas recorded her first hat trick of the season with three goals, drew one exclusion and had two steal as the Anteaters defeated Concordia 23-5.
