Cal State Fullerton’s Davina Xanh earned Big West Golfer of the Month for October after closing the fall with a pair of Top 10 finishes.

Xanh opened the month at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational hosted by Seattle U in Lakewood, Wash. The freshman closed in a three-way tie for first with a score of 3-under 213, with rounds of 73, 69, and 71. Nevada’s Victoria Gailey edged Xanh and Hailey Loh of Cal Baptist in a one-hole playoff to take home individual medalist honors.

Xanh carded another Top 10 finish to cap the month’s action as well, finishing tied for 9th at The Clash at Boulder Creek. The native of Weston Super Mare, England, recorded rounds of 72-73-69–214 (-2) in the Boulder City, Nev., event hosted by Northern Arizona.

Coupled with teammate Elina Saksa’s tie for fifth, the duo helped lead the Titans to a third-place team finish. Cal State Fullerton is set to open their spring slate on Jan. 30 at the SoCal Ryder Cup hosted by Cal Baptist at the Victoria Club in Riverside.
