Tara Prentice, UC Irvine  Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week  Senior • Utility • Temecula, Calif.

• UC Irvine utility Tara Prentice scored ten goals to lead the seventh-ranked Anteaters to a 2-2 record, all against top-10 opponents, at the ASU Cross Conference Challenge to earn her fourth career Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week honor. She previously won the award once each during the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons. 

• The senior powered the Anteaters to an 11-10 upset over No. 4 Arizona State with five goals in the season opener. She recorded another hat trick with three goals as UC Irvine defeated No. 10 Fresno State 10-6. 

• Prentice put away one goal each in the losses to No. 5 Cal and No. 8 Michigan.
