2021 Big West Men's Golf Championship Central
Final Team/Player Results
Long Beach State completed a wire-to-wire win at the 2021 Men's Golf Championships, finishing at 6-under to win the third title in school history.
The Beach shot an even par 288 in the final round, pushing their three day total to 858. That is the best three-day total in program history at the league championship, topping the 864 the 2004 title team put up prior to their playoff. All five LBSU players finished in the top 7 led by Clay Seeber in a tie for second (214). Hunter Epson shot 216 over the three days, while the remaining trio of Isaac Rodea, Tyler Schafer and Hunter Reed all shot 218.
LBSU won't have to wait long to find which of the six NCAA Regionals it will take part in, as the selection show will be aired live at 11:00 a.m. PT on the Golf Channel and NCAA.com.
The individual race was another wire-to-wire affair as UC Davis' Lucas Carper led throughout on his way to the crown. He shot 70-67-72 for a three day total of 209, becoming the fifth player in Aggie history to win the individual crown. Carper will also compete at NCAA Regionals as the individual winner earns an automatic berth if he is not on the winning team.
Seeber was in a second-place tie with Cal State Fullerton's Garrett Boe (214), while CSUN's Blake Brothers was fourth at 1-under (215). UC Davis' Thomas Hutchison tied with Epson for fifth at even par (216).
