• Garnering his first career Big West Baseball Field Player of the Week award, senior Calvin Estrada led Long Beach State a sweep of UC Davis with a stellar performance at the plate.
• Estrada batted .529 (9-for-17) with multiple hits and at least one RBI in all four games.
• He slugged 1.000 as three of his nine hits included a pair of home runs and a triple.
• The Van Nuys native had an RBI triple in the 7-0 game one victory.
• Estrada delivered a two-run homer in the 7-1 game two win. He came back in the series finale with his 10th roundtripper of the year, becoming the first Dirtbag with double-digit homers in a single-season since 2008.
• He also recorded his fourth three-hit game of the year in game three, going 3-for-4 with an RBI.
• Estrada tied for third in the Big West with his 10 home runs. He also led the Dirtbags with 36 RBI and was third with 50 hits.

• UC Santa Barbara junior Rodney Boone captured his third Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week award this season – and fourth of his career – as he tossed eight scoreless innings against CSU Bakersfield.
• The left-hander scattered just three hits, walked three and struck out 12 batters in a 6-0 victory of Saturday’s game one doubleheader. Boone struck out at least one batter in each of his eight innings on the hill.
• He earned his conference-best 10th win, improving to 10-4 on the year and lowering his ERA to 2.20, second among Big West pitchers.
• He also tops the Big West in strikeouts with 117. He struck out 10 or more in a game for the fifth time this season, all coming in his last nine starts.
• Boone now has 20 career wins, tying for ninth in UCSB history. His 223 strikeouts rank third all-time in school history, right behind Shane Bieber.
