• UC Irvine junior Dillon Tatum put on a power display on the Central Coast, leading to his selection as the Big West Baseball Field Player of the Week.
• Tatum bashed four home runs – with at least one in all three of his starts – as the Anteaters won three of four games at Cal Poly.
• The catcher hit .636 (7-for-11) and posted an astronomical 1.909 slugging percentage for the week as six of his seven hits went for extra bases.
• Tatum had a hit in every game, scored five runs and knocked in eight. He led or tied the team high in every category offensively and struck out just once at the plate.
• Tatum homered in Friday’s series-opening 11-6 victory. He then clubbed a pair of long balls, his first career 2 HR game, in a 4-1 win on Saturday. He finished 3-for-3 in that effort.
• He doubled in the last two games of the series, and hit his fourth homer of the weekend in Sunday’s series finale.
• No Mustangs attempted to steal on him in the series.

• UC Irvine junior Michael Frias excelled in his start at Cal Poly to capture Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week accolades.
• Frias logged a career-high eight innings and 117 pitches to lead the Anteaters to a 4-1 victory in Saturday’s game two of a doubleheader.
• He allowed just two hits in the second inning with neither leaving the infield.
• Frias walked just two and equaled his career high with nine strikeouts. He ranks fifth in the Big West with 53 strikeouts for the season.
• The right-hander improved to 5-0 on the year, with the five wins tying for second-best among conference hurlers.
