Long Beach State’s Hunter Epson and Cal State Fullerton’s Brittany Shin claim Big West February Golfer of the Month accolades to open the spring season.

HUNTER EPSON, LONG BEACH STATE

•  Led the Beach in both February competitions

• Finished in a tie for fourth at the Nick Watney Invitational with a 9-under par after shooting 69-70-68.

• At The Prestige he tied for 21st among some of the top competition in the country.  With Epson as the catalyst, firing 73-74-69 (216), LBSU was the top finisher among Big West schools.

• Recorded two Top 10 finishes in February.

• Won individual medalist honors at The Valley Invitational with scores of 76-69-74 (219).  Led team to a third place finish.

• Finished 10th at the Moorpark Intercollegiate after firing 150 (78-72) in the tri-meet.
