• UC Irvine senior goalkeeper Morgan Jones notched her second Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week citation in the last three weeks thanks to stellar net play in a pair of wins.

• Jones helped UCI to two wins over Long Beach State, including a Big West conference win on Saturday. She allowed just nine goals while playing all 64 minutes as the Anteaters cumulatively outscored the Beach 22-9.

• In Saturday’s 10-2 win at home, Jones stopped 12 shots and posted an .857 save percentage. She kept the Beach scoreless in the first half and also collected three steals.

• Jones finished with six saves and two steals in Saturday’s 12-7 road triumph.

• The Murrieta native ranks second in the Big West with 90 saves this season.
