UC Davis senior Thomas Hutchison opened 2021-22 season with a pair of top-three finishes, ending the Marquette Intercollegiate in 3rd (70-66-68—204, -17) before winning the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational in record fashion (68-62-71—201, -15).

The 62 shot in the second round of the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational was a school single-round record and one off the overall Eisenhower Blue Golf Course record, while the 15-under for the tournament was the third-lowest tournament score by an Aggie, with his 201 falling just two strokes shy of the school record. The tournament win was the second of his career.

Hutchison’s win at the Falcon Invitational paced the Aggies to the team title and the tournament record as UC Davis won the event by 24 strokes with a 33-under-par cumulative score. The 831 was the sixth-lowest 54-hole tournament tally in school history.

This is Hutchison’s third monthly honor, also earning the award for his play in Sept. 2018 and April 2021.
