• The Cape Coral, Fla. native shot a 1-over par 217 to tie Delaware’s Ariane Klotz for first on the leaderboard. However, Shin notched the title on a scorecard playoff which was determined by who had the better score over the last nine holes of the tournament.

• Shin became the first Titan since Martina Edberg in 2017 to take individual medalist honors at a tournament.

• Shin shot rounds of 70 and 75 to enter the final round in fourth place. However, her even par 72 allowed her to jump three spots.

• Tonkham became Hawaii’s first Golfer of the Month recipient since Kaci Masuda in March of 2018.

• She tied for eighth place among 92 golfers at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Kane’ohe, O’ahu, Hawai‘i. Tonkham carded an even par 216 on the par-72, 6,099-yard Kane’ohe Klipper Golf Course.

• Tonkham fired a final round 3-under 69 for the third-lowest 18-hole score in program history. She also had a second round 1-under 71 after an opening round 76.

• The Arleta, Calif. native tallied the second-most birdies (12) in the tournament.

• She helped UH to a fifth place team finish, ahead of eight higher ranked teams. The team’s season-best 886 total represented the fourth-best score in school history.
