• Freshman Connor Kokx notched his first career Big West Baseball Field Player of the Week award after his contributions helped Long Beach State to a series victory over No. 6 Mississippi State.
• The outfielder hit .556 (5-for-9) against the Bulldogs and .583 (7-for-12) for the week as the Dirtbags also downed a 6-1 San Diego team in a midweek game by a 10-3 score.
• Kokx got on base at a .688 clip as he also got hit by a pitch four times.
• Kokx had three multi-hit games and extended his hitting streak to six straight.
• In Sunday’s 6-2 win in the rubber game of the series, Kokx went 2-for-3 with a double, run scored and two RBI.
• He also scored a run in Friday’s 4-0 series-opening win against Mississippi State with a 2-for-3 effort at the plate.

• Long Beach State junior Adam Seminaris collected his second career Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week honor with a masterful performance against No. 6 Mississippi State.
• The southpaw dominated the Southeastern Conference power, lasting eight shutout innings with just one hit allowed in the 4-0 combined shutout.
• It was a season-long outing for Seminaris, who had 10 punch outs against the Bulldogs for his second double-digit strikeout effort to begin the season.
• Seminaris got No. 25 Long Beach state off to a great start in the series, retiring 14 hitters in a row at one point between a first-inning walk and a leadoff single in the sixth – Mississippi State’s only hit that evening.
• Seminaris ended his commanding outing by striking out the side in the eighth.
• He also threw an inning of scoreless relief with one strikeout in Tuesday’s 10-3 victory over San Diego.
