WOMEN'S WATER POLO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

• UC San Diego junior Grace Pevehouse earned her first career Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week award after leading her team to its best finish at the Triton Invitational.
• Pevehouse tallied four consecutive hat tricks for a total of 12 goals over the prestigious two-day event, which featured 13 of the 16 teams inhabiting the top 25 poll.
• The attacker led the Tritons to a fourth place finish, best of any of the six Big West squads competing in the tournament.
• Pevehouse had three goals and a steal in each of UC San Diego’s first two games that resulted in wins over No. 24 Marist (14-5) and No. 9 UC Santa Barbara (11-7). The win over the Gauchos was the program’s first since 2016.
• In the semifinals against No. 1 USC, Pevehouse played a role in five of the team’s goals as the Tritons fell 14-11. In addition to her three goals scored, she assisted on two others.
• Pevehouse also registered her fourth straight three-goal game in a 13-8 loss to No. 8 Arizona State. The Tritons are now 7-3 on the season.
