UC Irvine's Prentice Secures Player Of The Week Honor

• UC Irvine senior Tara Prentice received her third career Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week award as the team’s scoring leader at the prestigious Cal Cup.

• In a tournament which featured four top 20 opponents, the Anteaters posted a 2-2 record behind a team-leading 12 goals from Prentice.

• Prentice tied a career high with five goals in a narrow 12-11 loss to Cal. She added a steal against the Bears.

• She led the ‘Eaters with two goals and two steals in a tight 10-9 loss to No. 2 Stanford.

• Her hat trick against No. 13 Fresno State propelled UCI to a 14-6 victory. She also scored twice in 14-6 win over No. 18 San Jose State. She had a steal in each win.

• Prentice also converted a pair of five-meter penalty shots over the weekend.
