Wilson Secures Men's Golfer of the Month Award For April

Achieving his best finish of the season, Cal State Fullerton senior Matt Wilson (Cypress, Calif./Servite HS) received Big West Men’s Golfer of the Month honors as the league’s best performer in April.

Wilson notched a pair of top-20 finishes for the Titans, which competed in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic and El Macero Classic.

Wilson tied for second at the El Macero Classic, tying his career-best finish from 2016. He offset an opening round 75 with back-to-back rounds of 69 and 70 to conclude the tournament at 2-under 214.

Wilson’s effort helped the Titans placed second out of 20 teams.

He also tied for 20th place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. Wilson had a low round of 69, and he finished at 3-under 213, helping CSF finish 3rd overall in the 15-team field.
