Hawai‘i junior Elyse Lemay-Lavoie captured her first career Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week award with a huge performance in a key conference match.
• Lemay-Lavoie scored a game-high four goals in Hawaii’s 15-9 win over No. 11 UC Santa Barbara on Senior Night.
• The four goals helped UH improve to 4-1 in Big West play for first place.
• She scored three first-half goals, including two in the first quarter as the Rainbow Wahine sprinted to a commanding 8-1 halftime lead.
• The Canada native notched her fourth and final goal in the fourth quarter.
• Lemay-Lavoie also drew three exclusions and had one field block for UH, which is guaranteed no worse than a share of the Big West regular season title.
