UC Irvine junior Tara Prentice earned Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week honors following a sterling performance at the Triton Invitational.

• Prentice scored a team-leading 10 goals over the four games to help the Anteaters post a 2-2 record.

• The utility player had multiple goals in all four contests.

• Prentice notched a game-high four goals to lead the ‘Eaters to an 11-7 win over No. 7 UC Santa Barbara.

• She opened the tournament with two goals in a 15-4 triumph over Cal State East Bay, then scored twice again in an 11-6 loss to No. 3 UCLA and a 9-8 defeat to No. 8 Michigan.

• Prentice has a team-best 22 goals this season.
