UC Santa Barbara forward Rodney Michael piled on another award to his ever growing list as United Soccer Coaches tabbed him the men's Division I National Player of the Week.
The Freetown, Sierra Leone native had two goals and two assists for six points in helping the Gauchos to a pair of wins, including a 5-0 win over No. 24 Cal State Fullerton. He has recorded a point in seven consecutive matches, posting four goals and five assists over that span.
Michael's two assists this week led to the game-winning goals against both Sacramento State and the Titans. He had an insurance goal in the 88th minute against the Hornets and scored UCSB's third goal versus CSF.
Michael was selected the Big West Offensive Player of the Week for the third time in his career, and also received College Soccer News National Team of the Week distinction.
