UC Irvine freshman Isabel Rack (Murrieta, Calif./Vista Murrieta HS) nabbed her first career Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week award as the leading goal scorer in a win over rival Long Beach State.
The utility player notched a career and game-high four goals against the Beach in an 11-8 victory. The win ensured the No. 3 seed for the Anteaters in this week’s Big West Tournament.
Rack added an assist and a steal as UCI improved to 3-2 in Big West play.
She got the ‘Eaters off to a great start with the first goal of the game on a made five-meter penalty shot. She also scored a goal on a power play.
Rack has scored 21 goals this season as a freshman.
