Chloe Barr (Adelaide, Australia/Henley HS) took the offensive reins in a pair of Hawai‘i wins that clinched the program’s first outright conference regular season title, earning the senior Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week accolades.

It is the second career award for the utility player, who tallied seven goals, four assists and three steals for the week.  Her contributions keyed UH’s successful Big West road trip, resulting in victories over No. 17 UC Santa Barbara (11-4) and No. 20 CSUN (12-6).

The wins ensured UH’s first-place finish in the Big West standings and a perfect 5-0 slate.  The ‘Bows became the first Big West program other than UC Irvine to finish league play with an unblemished record.

Barr played a key role in both wins.  She had a hand in eight of UH’s 11 goals against the Gauchos.  Barr equalled her career high with five goals (on 5-for-5 shooting) and added three assists.  She scored twice in the second quarter to increase UH’s lead to 5-1 at halftime.  In the third quarter, she added three more scores.

Against CSUN, Barr scored two goals and assisted on another.  For the week, Barr shot .875 with one field block and she drew two exclusions.

Others nominated: Madeleine Sanchez (CSUN); Greta Kohlmoos (UC Davis); Natalie Seidemann (UC Irvine); Kenzi Snyder (UC Santa Barbara)
