Chayce Ka'aua helped Hawai‘i to a series sweep of Illinois State, while Tyler Radcliffe pitched a gem in leading Long Beach State to a 1-0 victory over Tulane.

➜ Senior Chayce Ka’Aua earned his first career Big West Baseball Field Player of the Week award as he led Hawai‘i to a four-game series sweep of Illinois State.
➜ The catcher hit a team-leading .462 (6-for-13) with two runs scored and six RBI. He had at least one hit in all four games and finished the week with an on-base percentage of .500.
➜ Ka’aua helped the Warriors overcome a three-run deficit in game two of the series with a 2-RBI single to center field, helping UH to the 7-6 victory.
➜ Ka’aua had a bases-clearing 3-run double into left center to catapult UH to an early 3-0 lead in game three. He later posted his career-best fourth RBI of the game in the sixth inning with a single as UH won 7-3.
➜ He singled and walked in the series finale, a 7-6 UH triumph.
➜ Ka’aua added five putouts and an assist as the catcher in the third game.

➜ Long Beach State junior Tyler Radcliffe tossed a career-long 7.0 innings against Tulane for his second career victory, garnering his first career Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week award.
➜ The right-hander gave up just one hit – a two-out first inning single – as the Dirtbags won 1-0 over the Green Wave.
➜ Radcliffe set a season high with six strikeouts and walked just two.
➜ Radcliffe retired the final 11 batters he faced. He stranded the bases loaded in the third inning with a strikeout to keep the game scoreless.
