Trevor Casanova of CSUN and Andre Pallante of UC Irvine were named Big West Baseball Field Player and Pitcher of the Week.

➜ CSUN’s Trevor Casanova earned the Big West Baseball Field Player of the Week award after collecting 10 hits, two home runs and six RBI in the Matadors’ sweep of Manhattan.
➜ He also hit .625 in the series and collected multiple-hit games in each contest.
➜ He racked up four hits in the Matadors’ 21-5 win in the opener.
➜ Casanova also collected a pair of hits and three RBI in CSUN's 31-5 win as the teams tied a school record for runs in a single game.

ANDRE PALLANTE, UC IRVINE – PITCHER OF THE WEEK

➜ UC Irvine’s Andre Pallante earned Big West Pitcher of the Week accolades after giving up just one-hit in seven innings Friday night against Gonzaga which included 12 strikeouts.
➜ His 12 strikeouts was a first for an Anteater pitcher since Andrew Morales in the 2014 Super Regionals.
➜ Pallante’s seven innings and 12 strikeouts were both career highs.
➜ He increased his scoreless streak to 19.1 innings and is now 2-0 on the season.
