Senior Paige Virgil (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley HS) led UC Davis to a 3-1 record at the Aggie Shoot Out to garner her second consecutive Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week accolade.
It is her fourth career honor.
The utility player scored seven goals over the four games. Her biggest contribution came in the tournament finale – an 18-9 win over No. 23 Fresno State – in which she exploded for five goals.
Virgil also had two goals in a 15-6 victory over Santa Clara. She leads the team with 34 goals this season.
In addition to her goal scoring prowess, Virgil tallied five steals and four drawn exclusions as the Aggies lost to No. 2 California and defeated Cal State Monterey Bay among their other opponents at the Aggie Shoot Out.
