On the first day of the Big West Women's Water Polo Championship the No. 5 seeded Aggies recorded a 10-9 win over No. 4 UC Santa Barbara to advance to play No. 1 seed Irvine, while No. 3 Hawai'i defeated No. 6 Long Beach State in a 7-5 finish to advance to play No. 2 CSUN in the semifinals, Saturday.
No. 8 Aggies advance to Big West semifinals
Senior Keelia Houston scored four goals while junior center Allyson Hansen added two more to help fifth-seeded and No. 8-nationally ranked UC Davis hold on to a 10-9 win over fourth-seeded and 14th-ranked UC Santa Barbara in the quarterfinal round of the Big West Conference women's water polo tournament Friday night at Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.

West Tournament First Round
The No. 6 University of Hawai'i women's water polo team (16-8, 3-1 Big West Conference) opened the first round of the 2015 Big West Women's Water Polo Tournament defeating No. 11 Long Beach State, 7-5, Friday night at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex. UH will face third-seeded No. 10 CS Northridge, Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in the semifinals.
