Cal State Northridge junior attacker Lindsy Nelson was selected Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week as she carried the Matador offense to a 1-1 split against ranked opponents.
 
Nelson scored a combined seven goals in an 11-10 win over No. 13 UC Davis and 9-8 loss to No. 7 San Diego State.  She scored the seven goals in an efficient 10 attempts for a .700 shooting percentage.
 
Against the Aggies, Nelson recorded three goals to go along with one assist, one steal and one field block.
 
She helped the Matadors pull off the near upset of the Aztecs with a game-high four goals (in six attempts) while adding two field blocks, one assist and one steal.
