Senior Carmen Eggert (San Rafael, Calif./Marin Catholic HS) led UC Davis to a 4-0 record at the Davis Challenge to capture Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week honors.

Eggert led the team in goals (10), steals (7, tied), drawn exclusions (6) and field blocks (4) as the Aggies toppled two Top 20 teams, including No. 20 Cal State Bakersfield (12-7) and No. 18 Pacific (12-5).

The attacker opened the tournament Saturday with a pair of hat tricks in victories over Cal Lutheran (16-3) and the Roadrunners.

On Sunday, Eggert scored two goals against the Tigers but also contributed heavily on the defensive end with four steals and two blocks.  She concluded the tournament with two more goals in an 8-6 win against Sonoma State.

Eggert's efforts helped UCD even its record at 5-5 for the season.
