Miller Extends Hitting Streak To 12 Straight In 4-2 Week For Cal Poly
Cal Poly senior Mike Miller (Concord, Calif./De La Salle HS) hit safely in six straight games, batted .478 and posted a .536 on base percentage to capture Big West Baseball Player of the Week honors.

Miller had 11 hits in 23 at bats as the Mustangs went 4-2 for the week, including winning three of four games against future Big West member San Diego State.

The shortstop displayed some power with a double in five of the six games.  His two-bagger in the ninth inning of Friday’s second game of a doubleheader knocked in the tying and winning runs as Cal Poly completed a five-run comeback to take a 6-5 victory.

He had multiple hits in four games, going 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a stolen base in a 7-4 win over the Aztecs on Saturday.  Miller scored eight times and drove in seven runs for the week.

Miller now owns a 12-game hitting streak and has reached base safely in 23 straight games.
