UC Irvine senior Tommy Reyes set two personal career-bests and UC Riverside sophomore Dylan Stuart was masterful in his first career start, garnering the two Big West Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week honors, respectively.

Reyes Leads UC Irvine To 3-0 Record at MLB Urban Invitational
Tommy Reyes (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Bishop Amat HS) helped UC Irvine go undefeated at the MLB Urban Invitational as he hit .417 with career-highs in RBI and steals, earning him Big West Baseball Player of the Week honors.

Reyes notched a career-best three stolen bases in a 5-1 victory against Southern.  He reached base in four of five plate appearance and drove in a pair of runs.

In a 5-2 victory against Texas Southern in the tournament finale, Reyes posted a career-high four RBI, going 2 for 4 with a double and a triple.

He started the tournament going 1 for 5 with a double and scored the game-winning run in a 5-3 triumph over Alabama State.

For the week, the senior went 5 for 12 at the plate with two runs scored, six RBI, three walks and three stolen bases.

Stuart Tosses Gem In First Career Start For UC Riverside
Dylan Stuart (Riverside, Calif./Riverside Poly HS) proved his worth as the UC Riverside opening day starter as he tossed a five-hit shutout against visiting Brigham Young to collect Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week accolades.

In his first-ever collegiate start, Stuart was dominant against the Cougars as he allowed only one runner to advance past second base on the day.  He struck out a career-high tying seven batters, including the final three of the game as the Highlanders notched the 5-0 victory.

It was the second career victory for the sophomore, who also only walked one in the complete game stint.
