Cal State Northridge's Heidi Pettinger (Corona, Calif./Ayala HS) scored 11 goals in three victories, including two against conference foes, to collect Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week honors.

Pettinger led the Matadors to a 2-0 conference start with three goals apiece in wins against UC Davis (14-13) and Pacific (11-9).  Against the Aggies, she added three assists, two ejections drawn and one field block.  In the Pacific match, Pettinger notched five ejections drawn and one assist in addition to her hat trick.

She saved her best for a non-conference match against Cal State Bernardino.  In a narrow 10-9 win over the Coyotes, Pettinger netted a career-high five goals to go along with two steals and four ejections drawn.

For the week, Pettinger excelled with 11 goals, four assists, two steals, one field block and 11 ejections drawn in the trio of wins.
