An impressive start to her collegiate career earned Pacific's
Jasmine Myles (North Shore City, Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake Girls HS) the first Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week award of the 2010 season.
The freshman utility scored 14 goals over five games to lead the Tigers to a 2-3 record at the season-opening NorCal Invitational in Berkeley, Calif. She also contributed five steals, four drawn ejections and two assists at the tournament.
Myles was Pacific's leading goal scorer at the tournament. She had four goals in a 10-9 overtime loss to UC Davis. Myles scored three goals apiece in losses to No. 3 Hawai’i and No. 1 Stanford, and in a win over Cal State East Bay. She scored in her fifth straight game with one goal in a 15-6 victory against Cal State Monterey Bay.
Following their performance at the NorCal Invitational, the Tigers are now receiving votes in the Collegiate Water Polo Association poll.
