UC Santa Barbara senior utility Gillian Morgan (Sacramento, Calif./Rio Americano HS) captured Big West Women's Water Polo Player of the Week accolades after scoring 14 goals in four games at the UC Irvine Invitational.  She scored a career-high seven goals in an upset win against No. 13 Long Beach State.

The seven goals scored against the 49ers tied UCSB's record for goals in a game as the Gauchos won 11-10.  In addition, Morgan helped UCSB to a 7-4 victory against No. 11 Michigan with a pair of goals.

Morgan kept up her approach on offense even in a pair of Gaucho losses.  She contributed two goals against the top-ranked team in the country, USC, in a 16-3 loss in the opening game of the tournament.  She also had three goals in a 10-6 setback to No. 7 UC Davis.

Morgan is now ranked second all-time on the Gaucho career scoring list with 160 goals.
