UC Davis freshman Austin Graham (San Clemente, Calif./San Clemente HS) and Cal Poly junior Hannah Brabb (Maitland, Fla./Winter Park HS) led their teams to tournament championships to earn the honor as Big West Golfers of the Month for April.

Graham helped the Aggies defend their title at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic (April 7-8), posting a season-best 54-hole score at 4-under par 206 (69-66-71).  His second round 66 tied for the second-lowest score on the team this season.  His scores in the first two rounds gave him a total of four rounds below 70 in 2007-08.

He finished in a tie for ninth at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, helping the Aggies finish the 20-team tournament a 7-under and win by three strokes.

Cal Poly monopolized the awards at the April 7-8 Matador Spring Invitational, winning both the team and individual championships.  Brabb spearheaded that effort by winning her first collegiate tournament with a 36-hole total of 145 (75-70).  Her final round 70 tied a school record for lowest round, while her 145 total broke the school record for 36 holes.  It was the fourth top-10 finish of the season for Brabb, who bested a field of 60 golfers.

The attention now turns to the 2008 Big West Men's and Women's Golf Championships, held on April 21-22 at Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.
