Men's seedings and matchups have been determined for the 2007 Big West Tennis Championships, slated for April 27-29 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, Calif. Cal Poly clinched the regular season conference title and tournament No. 1 seed with a hard-fought 4-3 win over UC Irvine on Sunday. A complete women's bracket will be known following the completion of Wednesday's clash between Long Beach State and UC Santa Barbara.

Men's matches will begin at 9:00 a.m. for the duration of the tournament.

With the No. 1 seed, the Mustangs earned a bye into Saturday's semifinals. They will face the winner of Friday's battle between fourth-seeded UC Riverside and No. 5 seed Pacific. The other semifinal on Saturday features No. 2 seed UC Irvine versus third-seeded UC Santa Barbara. The Gauchos won last year's men's championship.

If seeds hold and Cal Poly wins the title, it would be the fourth different school to capture the tournament championship in as many years at Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Pacific won in 2004, UC Irvine in 2005 and UC Santa Barbara in 2006.

In the women's bracket, UC Irvine has wrapped up the No. 1 seed and meets eighth-seeded UC Riverside in a quarterfinal matchup on Friday, Apr. 27 at 9:00 a.m. The other three Friday quarterfinal contests have not been determined. One more regular season contest still looms as Long Beach State hosts UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday.
