Evan McArthur guided the Cal State Fullerton Titans to a sweep over their arch-nemesis Long Beach State, while Cal State Northridge's Craig Baker pitched a complete-game shutout to earn Big West Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week honors, for the week ending March 26.

For the week, McArthur led the Titans in hitting (.615), runs (4), home runs (2) and RBI (5) to lift Cal State Fullerton to a 3-1 week against No. 21 Pepperdine and conference foe Long Beach State. The junior posted a 3-for-4 evening against the Waves in the losing effort, which included his second home run of the season and two RBI. McArthur also capped the weekend with a 4-for-4 performance, just a triple away from hitting for the cycle, as the Titans swept Long Beach State with a 6-2 win on Sunday.

As Friday night's starting pitcher, Craig Baker tossed his first career complete-game shutout to lead the Cal State Northridge Matadors to a 5-0 victory over No. 28 Cal Poly. The Hemet, Calif., native, scattered seven hits while posting a season-high 10 strikeouts. Baker currently leads the Big West in strikeouts at 61 and is second in the league in innings pitched with 58.1. Following Friday's showdown with the Mustangs, the Matadors went on to sweep Cal Poly for CSUN's second series sweep of the season.

This is McArthur's first award of the year, while Baker nabbed his second of the season. On Feb. 27 he was one of three pitchers to earn weekly honors for his excellent performance on the mound.
