Long Beach State Duo Aces April's Big West Golf Honors

APRIL BIG WEST MALE GOLFER OF THE MONTH:
Long Beach State sophomore Jeremy Keller (Las Vegas, Nev./Palo Verde HS) had just one nonconference competition in April, but made the most of it by emerging as the Big West’s top finisher at the prestigious U.S. Intercollegiate at Stanford with a seventh-place tie. Keller opened under par with a 69 and finished with a 3-over 213 for the top-10 finish.

APRIL BIG WEST FEMALE GOLFER OF THE MONTH:
Long Beach State freshman Kay Hoey (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga HS) tacked up one last Big West accolade to her debut collegiate season by earning her third award of Big West Female Golfer of the Month. In the weeks up to the conference championship, Hoey blazed to a first-place finish at the Fresno State Invitational, shooting an even-par 216 in the three-round showdown. That finish was thanks in large part to her low-round 68, set in the second round of play at the invite. Later, at the competitive Peg Barnard Invitational, the freshman tied for eighth place with a two-round 147.
