UC Irvine's Poncino and UC Riverside's Snowden Named Big West Golf Athletes of the Month

UC Irvine senior Vinnie Poncino (Mission Viejo, Calif.) was named Big West Male Golf Athlete of the Month for March. Poncino finished ninth in the PING/Arizona Intercollegiate and third at The Highlander "Braveheart" Classic, both being the best finishes among Big West golfers. Poncino's third-place finish in the Braveheart Classic was just two strokes off the winner. It marks the second time this season he has earned the conference award.

UC Riverside sophomore Lindsay Snowden (Modesto, Calif.) was named Big West Female Golf Athlete of the Month for March. Snowden was perfect through last month, finishing in first place in three tournaments: NIU Springlake Classic, the Bobcat Classic and the Santa Clara Colby Invitational.
