Pacific freshman Krzystof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland) earned his first career Big West Swimming Male Athlete of the Week award after setting two new school records and pocketing three NCAA consideration times at the UNLV Invitational. Zoldak took first in the 200-yard IM (1:49.57) and the 400 IM (3:52.30) to make his mark on the Tiger recordbooks, and anchored Pacific to first in the 200 freestyle relay (1:22.36).

UC Santa Barbara sophomore Jennifer Schwalb (Ridgecrest, Calif./Burroughs HS) garnered back-to-back Big West Swimming Female Athlete of the Week honors after putting up three NCAA consideration times at the UNLV Invitational. Schwalb took first in the 200 IM (2:02.65) and 200 butterfly (2:01.92) and second in the 100 butterfly (55.47). The 200 IM time set a new school record, and her splits in the Gauchos' relays at the invite were both lifetime bests.
