Cal Poly senior Izzy Martinez and junior Logan Walter turned in a strong weekend at the Best in the West to earn Big West Pair of the Week honors, continuing their standout run at the No. 2 spot for the Mustangs.

The pair went 3-1 against top-tier competition, picking up key wins over tandems from Southern California, Long Beach State, and Stanford. All three victories came convincingly, including two straight-set decisions.

Martinez and Walter bounced back from an opening loss to UCLA and closed the weekend on a high note, highlighted by a three-set win over Stanford that showcased their poise in a decisive third frame.

With the performance, the duo improved to 23-2 on the season, solidifying their spot as one of the conference’s most consistent and reliable pairs.
