Headlined by Cal Poly's Pair of the Year tandem of Ella Connor and Erin Inskeep, the 2026 All-Big West Team and major award winners have been announced, as voted on by the league's seven head coaches. The Mustang duo leads this year's honorees, while Hawai'i's Kiera Cornman was selected Freshman of the Year, and Cal Poly head coach Todd Rogers earned Coach of the Year recognition.

Now in its second season, recognizing individuals rather than pairs, the All-Big West teams feature 20 student-athletes across the first and second teams, along with a five-member All-Freshman Team. All seven programs are represented among the honorees, highlighting the balance and depth across the conference. League champion Cal Poly led the way with six All-Big West selections (4 first-team, 2 second-team).

Connor and Inskeep headline the first team as the 2026 Big West Pair of the Year after producing a dominant 31-5 record from the No. 1 position. The Mustang duo consistently delivered in the top flight, securing key dual points throughout the season against the opposition's top pairs and helping guide Cal Poly to a conference title and a national tournament berth. Connor also broke CP's program record for career wins this season, eclipsing the 102 mark earlier this year during The Big West Challenge. The duo was named Big West Pair of the Week three times this season, the most among all pairs.

Rogers recorded Big West Coach of the Year after guiding the Mustangs to a 30-8 overall record and won The 2026 Big West Beach Volleyball Championship in sweeping fashion. CP enters the national tournament on a six-match winning streak and boasts 11 nationally ranked wins on the team's resume.

Cal Poly's depth is further reflected in seniors Izzy Martinez and Logan Walter, who also earned first-team distinction. The pair compiled a 34-3 record primarily at the No. 2 position, emerging as one of the most reliable tandems in the nation while providing a steady point in the middle of the lineup.

Long Beach State seniors Malia Gementera and Taylor Hagenah once again find themselves on the first team after anchoring the Beach from the top court. The duo posted a 24-10 record while consistently matching up against the top pairs in the country, continuing their run as one of the conference's premier pairings. The duo, already leading LBSU in career wins, surpassed the 100 career victory plateau this March en route to earning Big West Pair of the Week.

CSUN sophomore Dylan Hall earns first-team honors after leading the Matadors with a 17-15 record while competing across multiple courts. Hall's versatility and steady play were instrumental in CSUN's lineup throughout the season.

Cal State Bakersfield junior Vivi Kaelin joins the first team following a 24-13 campaign across the top courts for the Roadrunners. Kaelin remained a constant presence in the upper lineup, delivering one of the team's top winning percentages.

Hawai'i places two Beach Bows on the First Team in junior Julia Lawrenz and graduate student Izadora Stedile behind a 23-8 showing. Both competitors saw action across Courts 1 through 3, combining for strong win totals while helping UH's lineup throughout the dual season.

The second team features another 10 standouts from five programs. Cornman leads the group after posting a 20-12 record in a standout freshman campaign for Hawai'i, collecting 2026 Big West Freshman of the Year recognition. This is the first UH freshman to earn the distinction since 2021, and sixth overall in program history.

UC Davis is represented by graduate student Ella Erteltova (13-22) and junior Kinley Lindhardt (12-24), a pair that consistently competed in the Aggies' upper lineup and contributed key points in dual competition.

CSUN's Hannah Heflin and Maleya Miles also earn second-team honors after ranking among the Matadors' leaders in wins (15-18) while competing across multiple courts.

Long Beach State sophomores Tineke Hinton and Demi Wagdy are recognized following a 22-9 record as a pair, providing stability and production in the Beach lineup throughout the season.

Cal State Bakersfield's Kendall Kaelin (24-13) adds second-team honors after another solid campaign, while Cal Poly's Quinn Perry (30-7) and Julia Westby (32-3) round out the list. Westby continued a decorated career after transferring from LBSU, recording a 30-plus win season, while Perry contributed to one of the nation's deepest lineups with a standout record.

Ashleigh Adams of Cal Poly, Reese Ampi of Sacramento State, Kate Doorn of Sacramento State, Kiara Edwards of Long Beach State, Mia Guevara of Sacramento State, Emily Heintzelman of Hawai'i, Elise Lenahan of Cal Poly, Sydney Miller of Hawai'i, Kate O'Steen of UC Davis, and Ava Rogers of CSUN all received honorable mention.

The All-Freshman Team highlights the league's top newcomers in Cal Poly's Hannah Byers, Cornman of Hawai'i, Long Beach State's Victoria Henkel, CSUN's Ava Rogers, and Cal State Bakersfield's Kylie Taylor, each making an immediate impact during their debut seasons, respectively.

The Big West currently celebrates three teams in the latest rankings of the AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll, with conference champion Cal Poly coming in at No. 6, Long Beach State at No. 10, and Hawai'i rounding out the list of representees at No. 16.

Cal Poly and Long Beach State will continue their seasons at the 2026 National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship, with competition set to begin Friday from Gulf Shores, Ala., as The Big West once again places multiple teams on the national stage.
