  • 8042Leading Long Beach State to a pair of crucial wins, JaQuoia Jones-Brown has been named Big West Player of the Week. This is the third award of the season for the sophomore guard. 

  • Jones-Brown averaged 26.5 points of 50 percent shooting, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while playing a team-high 39.1 minutes per contest in victorious home efforts over Cal Poly and Cal State Bakersfield to stay alive in the race for the final spot in the 2026 Credit Union 1 Big West Women’s Basketball Championship. 

  • In the 67-57 win over the Mustangs, Jones-Brown poured in a game-high 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting, including a perfect 7-for-7 outing from the charity stripe, accounting for 41.8 percent of the Beach offense. 

  • Saturday, the Atlanta, Ga., native, finished with 25 points in a 10-point overtime win to lead all scorers and give LBSU their first set of back-to-back wins on the season.
