2025 NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship Bracket
UC Santa Barbara is set to play Rice in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship, hosted at Texas A&M’s Mitchell Tennis Center, Friday, May 2. The announcement was made Monday on the Women’s Tennis Selection Show on NCAA.com.

The Gauchos (16-8) earned their right to dance by winning the 2025 Big West Women’s Tennis Championship, clinching the league’s automatic qualifier. Rice earned an at-large bid into the national tournament with a 17-6 overall record and coming in second in the American Athletic Conference with a 5-1 league mark. UC Santa Barbara is ranked No. 32 in the latest ITA rankings (April 22), while the Owls are at No. 43. The winner of the UCSB-Rice match will face either second-seeded Texas A&M (25-3) or Quinnipiac (10-8) in the second round, Saturday, May 3.

UC Santa Barbara is making its seventh NCAA Championship appearance overall, and first since 2022. That year, the Gauchos advanced to the second round of the national tournament by defeating Kansas in their opening matchup.
